Discover the pleasure of Plants!
Organic Farming

It isn't FARMLAND without FARMERS!

At Quintessential Gardens, our lavender is grown organically, so the petals are edible and delicious! It has a very strong fragrance which makes it very good in Lemonade, tea, cookies, cakes, and goat cheese tarts.

Two Lavender gardens are planted in the foundation of an 1889 barn, which makes the fragrance stronger. One Lavender garden is planted in the foundation of an old house. We sell just the petals or by the bouquet. $12. Give us a call to see when our lavender is ready to be cut.

We grow our perennials organically, so when you take them home, they are safe to plant IN THE GROUND! We know that human life is directly connected to the quality of our water, both within and all around us. So, let's use this decade to make sure we don't pollute our water supply.

Let's be the generation that makes a difference. Let's Be The Change we want to see. Let's be the generation that values water. We carry unusual varieties of perennials, and perennials that don't take a lot of care, and perennials that hardly need any water. Plus, we will spend time with you to tell you about them all.

Beeing a Farm

At Fort Hill Farms, we have lots of bees!  Bees are very important. A lady told me yesterday that when her blueberry bushes bloomed, there were no bees to pollinate them, so they have no blueberries now!  Our Blueberry bushes are loaded w/blueberries!  You can pick-your-own blueberries everyday, 9-5, 7/1 - 9/1.  Before 9 and after 5 by appt.

We sell Black & Red Currant
plants and PYO berries.

Join the Human-Potential Movement, you'll see a change.
Open every day, but if it's raining, call ahead!

You DO NEED our ALL-NATURAL COMPOSTED Cow Manure: soil that contains organic matter can absorb 6" rain, whereas soil w/only 2percent OM can only absorb 1" rain!

We compost pure cow manure in an Amish-made composter for 2 weeks; sold in 30 pound buckets for $10 a bucket.
